All people have anxiety at certain times, it is normal and natural in the human system. It tells us that there is something in our world to pay attention to, to problem solve. Problematic anxiety or anxiety disorders indicate something different. Anxiety disorders are more persistent patterns focused on managing anxiety by avoiding things we fear in order to stay safe. Anxiety treatment will help you recognize anxiety that is helpful and anxiety that comes from a habit of avoiding. The treatment will teach you to recognize the cost of avoiding and strategies to manage anxiety in your day to day life.

Anxiety disorders are extremely responsive to treatment. You should expect to get better when you focus on changing these patterns. I treat the following anxiety disorders: Panic and Phobias, Trauma and Stress disorders, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Relational Anxiety. 
Symptoms of anxiety disorders include excessive worry, tension, or uneasiness, looping thoughts, feeling restless, difficulty concentrating, and sleep issues. 
I will work with you to sort through your symptoms to assess what is normal and what is an anxiety disorder. 
I utilize evidence-based therapies such as Gradual Exposure (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). 
We will explore your experience with anxiety, learn about your anxiety, develop skills to increase your confidence and comfort, and strategies to replace avoidance so you can live your best life.
